Bip Ling

Bip Ling

Bip Ling lives and works in London.  She is a one-woman culture industry and perhaps one of the best connected young ladies of her generation.

She runs a club night in Hoxton's Macbeth Public House called, The HOW.  Previous incarnations have been Oh Oh Hoxton, Hotbed, Lulu Brunetta and PoPo at Punk.  She is the resident DJ at Shoreditch House, sells art for her father's art dealing business, has done a little bit of modelling and documents it all, with a little bit of cultural commentary, on her website www.bipling.com . Ling has recently been asked to be the London correspondent for Parisian based style magazine Lurve.

All of this might be surprising if it were not for Ling's early exposure to art, fashion and enterprise.  She got involved in the family business at the age of 14, assisting at private views where she met Jeff Travis who offered her work experience at Rough Trade Records.  Since then she has worked at The Mayor Gallery, PPQ, Matches, Giles, Purple PR, JWT, Dover Street Market and RelativeMO.  Prior to some of this Ling attended Central Saint Martins from where she graduated early (2008).

She has been featured in LOVE magazine (Issue 2) and in Vogue (October 09) as a member of staff at RelativeMO. Vogue have just added her to their blog hub http://www.vogue.co.uk/blogs/default.aspx#ExternalBlogs
