
Jonty Hearnden
Jonty joined Bonhams London in 1979 - 80. The following year he travelled independently through 13 different countries, including New Zealand, Australia, China, Nepal, Burma and India. On his return he re-joined Bonhams to be a furniture cataloguer, and from there went onto manage Lots Road Galleries, a London auction room.
In 1990 Jonty became an independent furniture dealer and now runs a successful antiques business, Dorchester Antiques, in Dorchester-on-Thames Oxfordshire. He specialises in 18th and 19th century furniture and decorative objects.
Jonty has been a member of the judging panel for the British Antiques and Collectable Awards (BACA) since its inception and is a regular expert on BBC1s' ‘Cash in The Attic' now recording its 16th series. He was also asked to be a Consultant Editor to Miller's publications. Jonty is gearing up for the 2010 antiques season by continuing his work with the BBC.
