Dr Cecilia d'Felice

Multi-award winning clinical psychologist Dr Cecilia d'Felice has become a regular psychological expert on national TV and Radio. Her mission is to bring psychology to the public in a way that is accessible, engaging and helpful.

Cecilia specialises in transformative psychology encompassing relationships, emotional well-being, mental health, meditation and alternative healing as a consultant psychologist. She worked and trained at both the Institute of Psychiatry and The Tavistock Centre; both centres of excellence for psychology, psychiatry and psychotherapy. She is regarded as being one of the most respected Clinical Psychologist’s working in the UK today and is a media spokesperson for the British Psychological Society.

Cecilia loves getting people together and is the resident relationship expert for Match.com, the UK's most successful Internet dating service.

Cecilia has fronted Celebrity Quitters, Sex: How to Do Everything and Best Friend Rehab for Five. She was the resident psychologist on Big Brother on the Couch, where she constructed behavioural experiments for the housemates to reveal the unconscious aspects of their personalities.

Cecilia is regularly asked to comment in the national press, appearing regularly in The Times’ Body and Soul and is a key panelist for the Metro’s weekly Sex and Relationships column. She writes features and commentary for magazines such as International Life, Cosmo and Marie Claire. She won the Mind Journalist of the Year award in 2007.

Cecilia’s book ‘21 Days to a New You’ (Orion) is an innovative eight-week personal transformation programme. Offering both a unique synthesis of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology and a memoir of her own experiences overcoming significant life trauma. Her sincere belief is if she can transform her life from overwhelming catastrophe then anyone can!

In 2010 Cecilia contributed to a landmark Channel 4 documentary, ‘Dream School’, Sky's ‘Chick Fix’ and Fresh One's Going the Distance. She also loves radio (Woman’s Hour, PM) and her motivation is to share as much helpful psychology as she possibly can to help the nation achieve lasting happiness and success. Her private and corporate portfolio continues to expand, including brand leaders, multi-nationals, NGO’s and leading charities amongst her clients. She loves singing, her cat and Italy in no particular order!

Cecilia specialises in all aspects of mental health, emotional wellbeing and relationships, working for the NHS in London at consultant level and speaking at national and international conferences.
Cecilia has fronted Sex: How to Do Everything and Best Friend Rehab for Five. She is also a regular contributor to the Wright Stuff, ITV, GMTV and Channel 4 News, as well as Radio 2 and Radio 4 on subjects such as serious phobias and sublime vampires. She was the resident psychologist on Big Brother on the Couch, where she enjoyed chatting to Davina.
Cecilia regularly comments in the national press, while writing articles and commentary for magazines such as Psychologies, Cosmo and Marie Claire. She won the Mind Journalist of the Year award in 2007. She is also the Dating Doctor for Match.com and DatingDirect.com.
Cecilia's book ‘Dare to be You' (Orion) is a synthesis of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness and Positive Psychology, creating an innovative eight-week self-help programme.
Currently she is acting as expert for an NHS funded programme about quitting smoking, and has just completed contributing to a BBC3 programme which examines the present obsession with vampires.
