Patrick recently presented Monkeys: An Amazing Animal Family on Sky1, a sequel following the huge success of Cats: An Amazing Animal Family, the two part series special received rave reviews and was one of the most watched programmes on Sky Go following its TX. Prior to this, Patrick presented a variety of programmes including two BBC2 shows; Yellowstone and Super Senses; a show exploring the extraordinary world of animal senses. In each episode Patrick focused on key themes; sight, sound and scent across five continents, thus revealing the amazing ‘super senses’ of the animal world.
Previously Patrick has presented BBC’s online natural history strand Zoo La La, a weekly show about weird and wonderful animal facts that launched the brand new BBC/YouTube platform, Earth Unplugged.
After studying Cancer Biology at the University of Bristol, he decided to pursue a career in wildlife filmmaking and was an integral crew member of the BBC productions Madagascar and more recently Attenborough: 60 years in the Wild.
After catching the attention of several producers Patrick wrote and presented a series of web episodes to accompany the David Attenborough series ‘Madagascar’. A naturally light-hearted approach coupled with the ability to be authoritative and engaging, provides him with a distinct ability crossover between children’s and primetime factual programming.
Patrick also has a rich baritone voice and narrated the National Geographic reversion specials of Planet Earth Live. He also hosted Radio 4’s natural history production The Listeners.
Patrick’s scientific knowledge is vast and his personal interest in everything technical and natural history gives him the potential to be a unique and brilliant factual science & wildlife presenter. His mantra is… ‘Let’s get the lab into the field!’
Patrick is a regular contributor on The One Show, exploring facilitating wildlife, geography and historical elements to our landscapes.
Patrick has two BBC1 shows in the pipeline as well as an exciting new series for Sky1.
