Yasmin Joseph

Yasmin Joseph is a London-based writer. Most recently, she wrote an episode of Steve Knight’s A THOUSAND BLOWS for Disney+. Currently she is on the writing staff of MAGNOLIA PARKS for Netflix/A24, and is working on an upcoming series for Channel 4/A24 with Molly Manning Walker. She will also write an episode and has been in the room on Miriam Battye’s new A24/Apple series, THE HUSBANDS, and also has a script in development with B-Side / Drama Republic / BBC.

Yasmin was previously Sister Pictures’ Writer in Residence and was on attachment at the Royal Court Theatre as a winner of the Channel 4 Playwrights scheme. Her debut play J’Ouvert premiered at Theatre503 in 2019 and the Harold Pinter Theatre as part of Sonia Friedman’s 2021 RE:EMERGE season. She was nominated for the Evening Standard’s Most Promising Playwright Award and the Stage Debut Awards for Best Creative West End Debut. She won the 2020 James Tait Black Prize For Drama
