Russell Tovey
Podcaster and public speaker
With an extensive background in film, television and theatre, award winning actor Russell Tovey can most recently be seen starring as Barclay Pierre-Dupont in Russell T. Davies’ series The War Between the Land and Sea, as well as Andrew Walters in Carmen Emmi’s romantic thriller Plainclothes, which premiered at the Sundance Festival in 2025. Outside acting, Russell is also a passionate art collector, “art geek”, and co-hosts art podcast, ‘Talk Art’, with friend and gallerist Robert Diament. Their aim is to make art more accessible through interviewing leading artists, curators, celebrities and gallerists about their shared passion of art and have interviewed world renowned names such as Sir Elton John, Peaches, Maggi Hambling CBE, Lena Dunham, Edward Enninful and Sharon Stone to name a few. Tovey and Diament have released three books together, including Sunday Times Top Ten Bestseller “Talk Art: Everything You Wanted To Ask About Contemporary Art But Were Afraid To Ask”. Russell was on the judging panel of the 2021 Turner Prize and has curated a number of exhibitions including a collaboration with GRIMM Gallery in Amsterdam entitled ‘Swimming’, and a Pride Month curation at City Lit Gallery in London entitled Home.
