Storm Saulter

Storm Saulter is an award-winning filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist from Negril Jamaica, known for telling universal stories through a uniquely Caribbean lens. His debut feature film BETTER MUS’ COME was hailed as signaling a fresh new
movement of filmmaking from the region, premiering on Netflix and BBC Two. He co-founded the New Caribbean Cinema collective, producing the BFI-premiered anthology film RING DI ALARM! His second feature film SPRINTER, executive produced by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, won several best-of-festival awards, premiered globally on Netflix and is currently being developed as a television series.

His photography has been featured in Rolling Stone and The FADER. His visual art has been exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum, British Museum, The Museum of Contemporary Art (Miami & Chicago) and is in the collection of the National Gallery of Jamaica. He has directed music videos for Sean Paul and Arcade Fire, commercials with Usain Bolt, Lewis Hamilton and Puma, and most recently the groundbreaking five-part television series POSSESSION for Sky Studios starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jonny Lee Miller, Sheldon Shepherd and Bel Powley. The ‘tropical noir’ series unpacks Jamaica’s colonial ties to Britain, exploring themes of identity, migration, spirituality and reparations.
