Daisy Aitkens is a writer and director.
She has written for the two popular sitcoms, My Family and Shelfstackers, and has also developed pilots with World Productions, Carnival, E4 and the BBC.
In 2014, she wrote and directed her first short film, 96 Ways To Say I Love You. This went on to be accepted to the Berlin Film Festival, the London Film Festival and the Cambridge Film Festival. In 2016, she wrote and directed the short film ‘The Exit’, which went on to have over 30k views on Vimeo.
In 2016/17, she directed and wrote her debut feature film, ‘You, Me and Him”, starring Lucy Punch, Faye Marsay and David Tennant. ‘You, Me and Him’ had its cinema release in the UK in 2018, and is available on Amazon Prime Video.
In 2018, she was commissioned to write an adaptation of A Quiet Life by Natasha Walters for Armadillo Pictures.
She currently has projects in development with Infinity Hill, Expectation Entertainment, and The Caretakers Company.
