Jade Franks
Jade Franks is a writer, actor, and director from Merseyside with a background in arts education and outreach.
In 2025, Jade achieved widespread recognition with her sell-out debut solo show, Eat The Rich (but maybe not me mates x), which premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The production received critical acclaim and won multiple awards, including The Scotsman’s Fringe First Award, The Holden Street Theatre Edinburgh Fringe Award, and The Filipa Bragança Award.
Critics hailed it as “★★★★★ – a scorching comedy about class privilege” (The Guardian), “tightly written and very funny” (The Times), and “a brilliant debut” (The Stage). Recognised internationally, Eat The Rich was listed among the “buzziest” acts at the Fringe by The New York Times and named in The Telegraph’s top plays to see.
The debut firmly establishes Franks as an emerging force, blending laughter, honesty, and incisive social critique with fearless clarity. She is currently writing her next play as part of the Liverpool Everyman’s Playwrights’ Programme.
