Kyla Harris

Kyla Harris (any pronoun) is an actor, BAFTA-nominated creator and writer, and Emmy Award–winning producer. Their work frames disabled experience as a source of cultural knowledge and aesthetic innovation through storytelling.

She co-created, co-wrote, and starred in the comedy-drama series We Might Regret This (BBC Two), with a second series due in spring 2026. Her producing credits include the feature documentary Patrice: The Movie, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award, and won an Emmy Award in 2025. The film is available on Disney+ and Hulu in the United States.

Her work has been featured in The New York Times, British Vogue, and The Guardian, among others. She is Chair of We Crip Film at the British Film Institute (BFI), a BAFTA member, and a board member of Filmmakers with Disabilities in Documentary (FWD-DOC).
