Martha is a Welsh writer for TV, theatre and film. Her broadcast credits include episode 4 of series 3 of BEYOND PARADISE (BBC One) and her original short film BUBBLE UNITED (BBC Two Wales). Martha is currently developing a comedy for ITV with Objective Fiction, a drama for S4C with BYO Films, a crime drama with Esmerelda Pictures, and a family drama with Tall Story Pictures. Previously, Martha worked in the writer’s room for a crime drama series with Little Door Productions. She was one of 12 writers on the Channel 4 Screenwriting Course in 2021 and part of the BBC Welsh Voices cohort in 2022. She is also a member of BAFTA Connect.

Martha is currently part of the Introduction to Playwriting Group at the Royal Court. She is also working with Mind Out Theatre’s Young Company to write a piece of interactive theatre called SECOND NATURE. Previously, Martha was one of five writers-in-residence at Theatre503 in 2023, during which her new play GENESIS was nominated for the George Devine Award. Her debut play EXISTENTIAL FISH AND DREAD toured from The Cockpit (London) to Chapter Arts Centre (Cardiff) and the Exeter Phoenix in 2021-2022. An extract from her second play, THE GHOST OF YOU, was showcased at The Other Palace, as part of a scratch night programmed by Theatre Royal Haymarket Masterclass Theatre Trust. She was Chippy Lane Productions’ Writing Apprentice to BAFTA-winning writer Alan Harris, a position funded by Arts Council Wales. Her previous theatre credits include short plays VERA JONES at The Old Red Lion, SEASIDE at Theatre503, ASHES TO ASHES, FUNK TO FUNKY at The Glitch and HOW LOAN CAN YOU GO? at The Pleasance, Islington.

In 2021-22, Martha wrote and directed series 2 of SCRIPTIC, a BAFTA-nominated interactive crime drama game currently available on Netflix. She is also developing various projects for both short and feature film.
