Sarah Gordon

SARAH GORDON is a graduate of the National Film and Television School and writes for stage and screen. Her original play Underdog: The Other Other Brontë recently finished a sell-out run at the National Theatre before going on to tour in the UK. Underdog won the Nick Darke Writer’s Award in 2020 and is currently streaming on NT at Home. Sarah is currently developing a modernisation of Madame Bovary as part of an attachment with the National Theatre and is developing a new play with the Almeida as the second recipient of The Roger Michell Commissioning Fund.

In her screen work, Sarah is currently writing for StudioCanal, The Forge and New Pictures. Previously her work has been longlisted and shortlisted for The Women’s Prize for Playwriting, The Bruntwood Award, Channel 4’s COMING UP and the Old Vic 12.
