Vivian Oparah’s breakout role of ‘Yas’ in the feature RYE LANE (Searchlight, BBC, BFI, DJ Films), directed by Raine Allen-Miller, premiered at Sundance 2023. For that performance Vivian won Breakthrough Performance at the British Independent Film Awards 2023,and has been nominated for Leading Actress at the BAFTA Film Awards 2024. Vivian has also been announced as a BAFTA Breakthrough 2023.

Also out in 2023 was THEN YOU RUN, the new Ben Chanan/Kudos project for Sky, with Vivian playing one of the four leads, ‘Stink’. Most recently Vivian wrapped on DEAD HOT for Amazon – coleading with Bilal Hasna. Other work includes INTELLIGENCE 2, I MAY DESTROY YOU and the Doctor Who spinoff series, CLASS. On stage Vivian was at the Old Vic in FANNY AND ALEXANDER and at the National Theatre in AN OCTOROON. For the latter Vivian was nominated for a WhatsOnStage Award for Best Supporting Actress.
