
Nina is renowned for her role in the timeless Sketch Show Goodness Gracious Me, and the beginning of 2015 saw her star alongside David Jason as Mrs Husse in ‘Still Open All Hours’. More recently, she has appeared as Annabelle Cooper in Holby City and has completed the run of Michael Frayn’s Matchbox Theatre at Hampstead.
Nina started in Theatre and has been in several productions including Macbeth with Mark Rylance and The Vagina Monologues.
Nina’s other TV appearances include her role as Zainab Masood in Eastenders, for which she won ‘Best Onscreen Partnership’ and ‘Best Comedy’ at the British Soap Awards. She has also starred in sitcoms, All About Me, Perfect World and Chambers alongside more serious roles in Waking the Dead, New Tricks, Murder in Mind, Skins, and Neena in the four-part TV adaptation of Zadie Smith’s novel White Teeth.
Nina has accumulated further accolades to her name including nominations for Best Actress at the British Soap Awards and National Television Awards. Nina was also with the Radio Drama Company and has many Radio Series under her belt, including The Tempest and The Mahabharata.
On the big screen, Nina’s credits include Code 46, Sixth Happiness, Bend It Like Beckham, I Can’t Think Straight and starring alongside Rishi Kapoor in the Bollywood hit Namaste London.
As well as being a regular presenter on ITV’s Loose Women, Nina has made several guest appearances in a variety of programmes including Dr Who, 2Point4 Children, The Vicar of Dibley, Casualty, The Bill, Doctors and Would I Lie To You. She has also produced her first film ‘Four’ and is also stars in her second movie, ‘Strangeways Here We Come’.
This year has seen Nina guest star in the BBC’s Holby City and has recently wrapped on the comedy pilot Square Roots for ABC.
