Fergus O’Brien

Director

Fergus directed the BBC2 single AGAINST THE LAW starring Danny Mays. It was part of the Gay Britannia season on the BBC to mark the decriminalisation of homosexuality and tells the story of the writer Peter Wildeblood (Mays) who was tried and jailed for being gay alongside Lord Montagu.

It’s an incredibly moving and thoughtful piece that’s had unanimous acclaim and has been nominated for a BAFTA and Broadcast Award for Best Single Drama.

Fergus is currently in production on his next BBC single drama MOTHER’S DAY, starring Anna Maxwell Martin, Vicky McClure and Danny Mays.
