Award-winning Lebanese filmmaker and 2023’s Screen Star of Tomorrow, Nour Wazzi just directed her debut Netflix feature thriller ‘Locked In’ written by Rowan Joffe (’28 Weeks Later’, ‘Tin Star’), with producers Nicky Bentham (‘Moon’) and Alison Jackson (‘Tin Star’), starring Famke Janssen (‘X-Men’), Rose Williams (‘The Power’), Finn Cole (‘Peaky Blinders’), Alex Hassel (‘The Tragedy of Macbeth’) and Anna Friel (‘Marcella’).
Following a number of award-winning shorts and BBC3’s ‘The Break’, Nour directed on the Netflix sci-fi adventure show ‘The Last Bus’ starring Robert Sheehan (‘Umbrella Academy’) and upcoming talent including Lauryn Ajufo (‘Luther’) and Moosa Mustafa (‘Wednesday’) that aired in April 2022, making her one of the first Arabs in the UK to break into high-end TV.
Upcoming projects include thriller ‘Chimera’ with producers Hans Ritter (DC Comics’ ‘Birds of Prey’) and President of Production at Echo Lake, Mary Jane Skalski (‘American Animals’).
