Abi has just graduated from Channel 4’s 4Screenwriting programme, and is currently developing projects for TV, theatre and film. She has recently written two new plays for LGBT History Month’s Festival Theatre: Mister Stokes: The Man-Woman of Manchester and Burnley’s Lesbian Liberator. In addition to historical pieces, she is also working on ideas for character-led family dramas, and supernatural and science fiction thrillers.
Abi holds a BA Hons and MA in Theatre Studies from the University of Manchester and graduated from the Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse Young Writers’ Programme in 2010. Since then, her work for stage has been performed in venues across the UK. Her short stories have been published widely in print and online.
