Reviews for ROMANTIC COMEDY:
“This is a doc that delights as much as it informs, and in so doing serves as proof that a meaty subject addressed with a few thoughtful, personal touches is sufficient for a first-time filmmaker to emerge as an exciting new voice” - The Hollywood Reporter
“Highly entertaining and thought-provoking” - Little White Lies
“With affection and brio, Elizabeth Sankey reclaims the genre of romantic comedy in this watchable documentary” - The Guardian
“Musician and writer Elizabeth Sankey is like many young women, whose perception of love and relationships has been formed by rom-coms...her SXSW doc “Romantic Comedy” is a journey for truth behind a genre rife with toxicity and exclusion” - Variety
“You get to have your genre cake and critique it too!” - Rolling Stone
