James is a screenwriter based in Somerset. He most recently wrote an episode of ITV’s prime time drama COLD FEET. He has also developed original ideas with various production companies in the UK and US, including Big Talk Productions, Tiger Aspect Productions, Tall Story Pictures, Merman Television, Silverprint Media, Two Rivers Media, Warp Films, Expanded Media, Jason Bateman’s Aggregate Films (US) and Chernin Entertainment (US).

James’s stories are often inspired by his working class roots having been raised by a teenage single mum in the various homeless hostels and council estates of coastal Somerset. His writing typically explores themes of family, hope and redemption. In 2020, James founded Scribe Lounge, an international online community platform for screenwriters which focuses on giving new and under-represented talent support and encouragement.
