Alec Drysdale

Jon wrote an episode of QUEERS, part of the series of monologues produced and directed by Mark Gatiss for the BBC. His episode, MISSING ALICE, was beautifully performed by Rebecca Front and was singled out for praise in the 5 stars reviews in the The Times and The Independent.

Jon also writes and composes the near-legendary Christmas Pantos for the Above the Stag Theatre.

Jon has recently written an incredibly moving and funny play, ANIMAL, developed with Josh Hepple, about a young gay disabled man navigating sexual and romantic relationships while relying on round-the-clock assistance. That play was on the short list of 5 (from over 1500 submissions) for the prestigious Papatango Theatre Prize 2020 and won the 2020 The Mill prize. ANIMAL will be staged at The Hope Mill theatre this Autumn. The BBC has subsequently commissioned a pilot script for him to adapt the play for television.
