Joseph Morpurgo is a comedian, writer and improviser. His solo shows have won extensive acclaim: 2015’s Soothing Sounds For Baby was nominated for Best Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards and won three Chortle Awards, and 2017’s Hammerhead enjoyed a month-long run at the Soho Theatre and won Best Comedy at the Brighton Fringe. He is also a founder member of improv show Austentatious, who have enjoyed many sell-out Edinburgh runs, multiple UK tours, and currently have a weekly West End residency.
His broadcast credits include Harry and Paul’s Story of the 2s (BBC2), Murder in Successville (BBC3), Drunk History (Comedy Central) and The World of Simon Rich (BBC Radio 4). His own Radio 4 series, Joseph Morpurgo’s Walking Tour, aired in 2017, and he has collaborated on projects with Aardman, Warp Films and Baby Cow.
