Rhianna Ilube is a playwright and game-maker from London. Her first full-length play was shortlisted for the Women’s Prize for Playwriting 2021 and was selected to be developed through the Omnibus Theatre’s Engine Room programme. She has recently been commissioned by the Royal Court to develop a new play in collaboration with young people across Westminster, being performed in Spring 2022. She is an alumna of the Royal Court Writers Group 2020/21 and is currently part of the Oxford Playhouse Playmakers. She also holds an MA in Writing for Performance and Dramaturgy from Goldsmiths University, supported by the Goldsmiths Excellence award.

Rhianna is an Associate Director at Coney, a charity making all kinds of play – theatre, games, adventures – to spark change. Rhianna has written several games such as ‘HOME/CARE’, a digital piece about social care made in partnership with the Bureau of Investigative Journalism; and ‘The Surrogacy Act’, co-created with academic researchers. Outside of writing, she is an activist-facilitator for The Advocacy Academy and the Good Night Out Campaign.
