Sarah Quintrell

Writer

Sarah is currently writing on THE POWER for Sister Pictures/Amazon, adapted from the New York Times bestseller by Naomi Alderman. She is also writing on the second series of HIS DARK MATERIALS for Bad Wolf/BBC/HBO.

An actor and writer, Sarah’s writing debut ELLEN (Channel 4), was directed by Mahalia Belo and starred Jessica Barden. It won the BAFTA Cymru for TV/Feature Film, the Broadcast Award for Single Drama, the PRIX Italia for International Drama and the Writers’ Guild Award for Short Form Drama (2017) .

Sarah was nominated for the BAFTA Breakthrough Talent at the Craft Awards and went on to be named as one of 2017/18’s BAFTA Breakthrough Brits.

Working alongside director Kath Mattock and documentary-maker Nick Holt, she created crime thriller THE TRIAL: A MURDER IN THE FAMILY which aired on Channel 4 to rave reviews. Sarah now has projects in development with C4, Lookout Point, Objective and the director Paul Whittington.
