Shyam is a screenwriter from Leicester. He is a graduate of the NFTS Screenwriting MA, where he wrote CHA, which was longlisted for the Short Animation BAFTA in 2021. His pilot script EXODUS was nominated for the All3Media New Voices 2021 award, while ANIMAL SPIRITS, developed at Series Mania Institute’s Eureka Series, won FilmarketHub’s Online Pitchbox in 2022. He won the Debut Writer award at the TV Foundation’s New Voices in 2025. He has written episodes on THE DAY OF THE JACKAL for Carnival/Sky, STEAL for Drama Republic/Amazon and HOUSE OF THE DRAGON for HBO.
