Steve Thompson wrote and produced ‘Vienna Blood’ for the BBC, ORF and ZDF (now in its fourth series). He co-wrote and produced the biopic ‘Leonardo’ for Amazon, starring Aidan Turner, and created the show ‘Jericho’ for ITV, starring Jessica Raine. He’s written for three series of the BAFTA winning BBC show ‘Sherlock’, three series of ‘Doctor Who’, also ‘Silk’ (BBC), ‘Deep State’ (Fox) and ‘Upstairs Downstairs’ (BBC). His latest projects are the 8-part thriller ‘Prime Suspect’ for Apple and a new Guy Ritchie show for Amazon. Steve is also an award-winning playwright. His debut play ‘Damages’ was awarded the Meyer Whitworth Award for 2005 (Arts Council Best New Play). His second play, the Olivier-nominated ‘Whipping It Up’ premiered at the Bush Theatre in November 2007 and successfully transferred to the West End in Spring 2008 before embarking on a sell-out UK tour.
