Sasha Hails

Writer

Sasha is currently co-creator on 13 part adaptation of Enid Blyton’s Malory Towers for King Bert/CBBC and HDX Canada. She has original TV series in development with Red, Studio Lambert, Kindle, Urbanmyth and Carnival.

Recent work includes lead writer on The Last Tsars a six part Netflix/Nutopia costume docudrama, and her BBC1 period adaptation of The Moonstone, a 5 pt adaptation of Wilkie Collins classic detective novel, which she co- developed, co wrote and co-produced (with writing parner Rachel Flowerday)

Sasha was on The Crown Series one as “additional material” . She has also written episodes of Wizards Versus Aliens (Russel T Davies award winning kids show): Versailles (Canal plus). She has written on Waterloo Road (Shed productions) and numerous episodes for kids shows Storymakers and Blue Cow

Sasha has also written extensively for BBC1’s continuing dramas Casualty, Holby, EastEnders. Her episode“Unsilenced” for Casualty addressed FGM on prime time TV for the first time and was BAFTA nominated and won a BBC Production Award and a Sexual Health Award. Her episode on Euthanasia “Nice and Easy” starring Brenda Fricka was also BAFTA nominated and shortlisted for a Writers Guild Award.a§
